Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Convert2WebP (the "Service"), operated by Deploy Vision LLC, including the website at convert2webp.com, the browser-based converter, the REST API, and the MCP server, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. We may modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Service
Convert2WebP provides image format conversion tools, including a browser-based converter that runs locally on your device, a REST API for server-side conversion, and an MCP server for AI-assisted workflows. The browser-based tool processes images entirely on your device without uploading them. The API and MCP server process images on our infrastructure. The Service is provided free of charge and is offered "as is" without guarantees of uptime, availability, or performance.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not: (a) use the Service to convert, process, or distribute images that are illegal, infringing, defamatory, obscene, or harmful; (b) attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service; (c) use automated systems to abuse the API beyond published rate limits; (d) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our infrastructure, servers, or networks; (e) interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it; (f) impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity; or (g) use the Service to conduct any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international laws.
4. API Terms
Use of the Convert2WebP API is subject to rate limits as published in the API documentation. We reserve the right to throttle, restrict, or block API access for any user or application that exceeds rate limits, abuses the service, or uses it in a manner that degrades performance for other users. API access may be suspended or terminated at any time without notice. We make no guarantees regarding API uptime, latency, or backward compatibility. You are responsible for implementing appropriate error handling and fallback logic in your applications.
5. Intellectual Property
You retain all rights to the images you convert using the Service. Convert2WebP does not claim any ownership or license to your images. The Service itself, including its source code, design, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of Deploy Vision LLC and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. The Convert2WebP name and logo are trademarks of Deploy Vision LLC and may not be used without prior written permission.
6. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT CONVERSION RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. YOU USE THE SERVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL DEPLOY VISION LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM: (A) YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY ERRORS, INACCURACIES, OR OMISSIONS IN CONVERSION OUTPUT; (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR DATA; (D) ANY THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT ON THE SERVICE; OR (E) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR TEN US DOLLARS ($10), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Deploy Vision LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and contractors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights; or (d) any images you convert, process, or distribute using the Service.
9. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, temporarily or permanently, with or without notice. This includes changes to features, rate limits, supported formats, and API endpoints. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, and limitations of liability.
